2006, O

Smoke detectors on the market are usually an eyesore. I want to design a simple, clean, almost unnoticeable, and yet more functional smoke detector.

With the flexibility of the material, I could make a much larger surface for the testing button, which was very tiny before. So when you want to see if the battery is still working, just poke it with a broom. No need to climb up again.

This is a 4-week project about redesign. We were given a product (smoke detector in this case), take it apart, analyze the parts and function, and then give it a new life.
