some other interesting projects

I stumbled upon a mobile application called wikitude, a location based tour guide, which can display real-time information on your phone. (dennou coil !) Guess many people have had a similar idea before (even we had this idea when doing thetram project ...), but I didn't expect it to become reality so soon... Following the link, I then found some other very interesting projects. They're the top 50 shortlisted projects for google android platform.

Interesting enough, out of 50 there are 27 projects utilizing google maps or wikipedia. Those web based application can offer possibilities that no single unit can. By connecting those online databases there would be even more possibilities.
